(No title)

The enamel day on Friday 28th June with J C Herrell is now full :D
There are still a few spaces on the other days.

Anyone interested in learning to use enamels who has missed out on this including several techniques extra to J C’s (eg mixing your own CIM type translucent colours and veiled canes) would be welcome to take a one to one with me at a date to suit you :)

Evening Classes

Evening classes

These affordable classes are held fairly regularly on Thursday evenings throughout the year. We start at 7.00pm and officially finish at 9.30 but things usually run on a bit later.
The class is £25.00 per person payable on the night (cash welcome) and a concession of £20.00 is available for students.

I have been giving a discount for people who want to book in to a six week block of evening classes from January to June – £30.00 deposit and then £15 per class which works out at £20.00 per class alltogether over six weeks. The block started last month – January but there are still five weeks left so a saving can still be made for those who didn’t make it to the January class.

I have decided to go back to one general evening class per month for the time being.

The next evening class will be Thursday 18th April

Next Evening Class at Studio Nineteen  coming up this week – Thursday 18th April  2013 7.00pm till 9.30pm

This month’s theme is encasing which is putting a layer of clear glass over something or embedding smaller elements in clear glass which results in a ‘paperweight look’ : – I have five different ways of encasing to show you!
If you let me know in advance that you are able to come I can print out some notes for you :-)

January evening class postponed to 31st due to snow

Hello from a snowy Enderby!

Given the snow and ice, and the forecast for possibly more later in the week, I’ve decided to postpone this week’s evening class until 31 January.

I hope this won’t cause inconvenience, but I know that some of you have a long drive to get here and this weather makes it difficult.

Hopefully you will be able to make it next week – please drop me an email or leave me a comment if you are planning to come along, to give me an idea of numbers to expect.

Studio 19 Evening Classes 2013

Happy 2013 Everyone

I’m going back to scheduling them once a month for the time being and making them general again instead of two levels.
I’ve scheduled six sessions starting Thursday January 31st and then the third Thursday in the month for six weeks.
7.00 pm till 9.30 pm 31st January, 21st February, 21st March, 18th April, 23rd May, 20th June
I’m encourageing enrollment for the six weeks – £30.00 to enrol and then £15.00 per week which works out at £20.00 per week.
It’s still £25.00 per session if you just want to come on spec which is fine.

For 24th I would like everyone to find a picture of a bead that they find intriguing and would like to investigate the technique used.
It doesn’t have to be complicated. The idea behind this would be to try to see if we can find out how it was done and think about using that technique on different beads rather than copying. If we get several people bringing examples we can spread the exercise over several weeks.

I’ll also be scheduling one beginners technique and one more advanced technique for each of the six weeks but not set in stone so we can adapt it as we go along.
